From the Lopresti vineyard in Whites Valley. Two parcels, with one seeing a longer time on skins; 15 months in older oak. Such good things happening at this address, especially with the Italian varieties. There’s something about the Lopresti site that favours elegance, and winemaker Luke Mallaby leans into that. It’s a brilliant follow-up to the '23, beautifully transparent, fragrant, savoury. Red cherries, cranberry, scrubby herbs, warmed earth, some clove and pepper, pressed rose, violet and amaro spicing. It’s elegant, but there’s fruit richness to it – a quiet density – a cherry-pip flesh feel to the palate, with a super-refined but insistent tannin line. ‘Tis a lovely thing.

Full ruby red hue. Rich nose of ripe black cherry, dark chocolate and liquorice. Full and weighty, rich black cherry fruit, mocha notes and a touch of sweet oak caramel. Long and flowing; fine tannins and ensure carry and a clean dry finish.
