From Joe’s Block in Sellicks Hill. Though seasoned, that oak still has its say, with a savouriness to nose and structure, keyed in to balance the ripe raspberry, cherry and deep-red strawberry notes. There’s a light dusting of spice, cinnamon, white pepper and clove, the sweet fruit swelling on the upper-medium palate, with tannins dusty, a little engagingly chewy, calling for food.
