Jester Shiraz - 2022

90 Points
Deep-ish colour with tinges of brick and purple in the rim. Earthy shiraz with coconut/vanilla oak inflections and deeper blackberry, with a trace of chocolate. Hints of clove and underbrush. It's full-bodied, bold and brash, with assertive tannins and a little astringency. It's a bargain at the price and would also be worthwhile cellaring.
Huon Hooke, The Real Review, November 2024

90 Points
This is a relatively rich expression from a cooler year, coming off heavy clay loam soils in Sellicks Hill. Dark-berried fruits, ripe raspberry, blackstrap licorice, black olive and dark soy. There’s generosity, but balance is astute and oak use assured.
