Of The Wind Chardonnay - 2020
93 POINTS
A meld of clones, hand harvested from a single vineyard in Macclesfield. Wild fermented and aged in second-fill classy French oak for 4 months. The result is taut, lightweight and streamlined, with accents of white peach, fig and nectarine given breadth by a core of nougat and toasted nuts. Yet don’t be fooled into thinking this is a bumptious wine, for a whiplash of pungent mineral energy tows it back tight and long across the back palate.
